PUMAYAG si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. nitong Lunes na panatiliin ang COVID-19 Alert Level System sa bansa habang nirerepaso ng Department of Health (DoH) ang umiiral na regulasyon.
Ginawa ni Marcos ang desisyon matapos siyang makipagpulong Department of Health officer-in-charge (OIC) Maria Rosario Vergeire at iba pang opisyal kaugnay ng umiiral na alert level sa bansa.
“To avoid confusion, we will retain the alert level system for now. We are however thinking, we are studying very closely, and we’ll come to a decision very soon as to decoupling the restrictions from the alert levels,” sabi n Marcos.
Nangako si Vergeire na maglalabas ng bagong klasipikasyon ang DoH sa ikalawag linggo ng Agosto.
Nagbabala rin si Vergeire na posibleng tumaas ang hospitalization rate sa harap ng patuloy ng pagtaas ng mga kaso ng COVID-19 sa bansa.
“So that’s why we really wanted to capture all of this eligible population bago dumating ‘yung time na projection na sinasabing September,” sabi ni Vergeire.
Idinagdag ni Vergeire na rerepasuhin din ang mga miyembro ng Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF).
