PANSAMANTALANG isinara ang San Roque Cathedral sa Caloocan City makaraang magpositibo sa Covid-19 ang pari na inatake sa puso at nasawi noong Sabado.
Ayon sa Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines, nagpositibo sa virus si Fr. Manuel Jadraque Jr. sa post-mortem swab test.
Sinabi ni CBCP president Bishop Pablo Virgilio David na inatake sa puso si Jadraque habang sakay ng tricycle. Hindi na ito umabot nang buhay sa ospital.
Sumailalim sa swab test ang bangkay ni Jadraque at lumabas na positibo ito sa nakahahawang sakit.
Ayon kay David, bakunado kontra Covid-19 si Jadraque.
“We have no way of finding out if the heart attack had been triggered by Covid despite the fact that he had been fully vaccinated already. We also do not know which strain of COVID it was,” ani David sa kalatas.
“We, therefore, asked the city government to have the specimen submitted for genome sequencing to find out which variant had infected Father Manuel,” dagdag niya.
