310 tauhan ng PGH positibo sa Covid-19

NASA “crisis mode” na ang Philippine General Hospital (PGH) dahil 40 porsyento ng mga tauhan nito ay kung hindi positibo sa Covid-19 ay naka-quarantine dahil na-expose sa mga taong may sakit.


Ani Dr. Jonas Del Rosario, tagapagsalita ng PGH, aabot sa 310 sa kanilang mga tauhan ay positibo na sa virus.


“We found that for every one health worker who had Covid, about three to four workers have high-risk exposure to either a patient, household member or co-worker,” aniya.


“Roughly 40% of the workforce are infected or quarantined because of Covid. If conventional quarantine protocol is used, the hospital will run out of doctors, nurses, and support staff to take care of patients… We are operating in a crisis mode,” dagdag ni Del Rosario.


Sinabi pa ng opisyal na 80 porsyento ng kanilang mga tauhan ay inalis na sa mga critical areas dahil sa exposure sa Covid-19.


“Napakalaki pong bilang ‘yun. Lalo na sa key areas, napipilay po kami. Marami ang nagka-quarantine, kailangan iquarantine dahil na-expose sila,” pahayag niya.
