NGAYONG araw ay aabot sa humigit-kumulang 11,000 ang bagong kaso ng Covid-19 sa Metro Manila, ayon sa independent monitoring group na OCTA Research.
Nasa pagitan naman, dagdag ni OCTA fellow Guido David, ng 15,000 at 16,000 ang new cases sa buong bansa.
Bukas, sinabi ni David na, “the country is likely to exceed 20k new cases.”
Nitong Martes ay pumalo sa 45 porsyento ang daily positivity rate sa Metro Manila.
“This projects to 15000 to 16000 new Covid-19 cases in the Philippines on January 6, with 10,000 to 11,000 new cases in the NCR,” ani David.
“This would eclipse the previous high in the NCR of 9031 on September 11, 2021,” dagdag niya.
“And the surge has not peaked yet. The country is expected to exceed 20,000 new cases by January 7,” babala pa niya.
