ON Wednesday evening, those visiting the Facebook account of Manila Police District Director PBrig General Andre Dizon were surprised to be greeted by a picture of a sexy woman in a lewd pose, wearing a see through blouse that exposed her breasts, appearing in his FB story feed.
It was there all day, until the general finally got hold of the news and issued a statement.
Released by the indefatigable public information officer of Dizon, the statement made by Maj. Phillip Ines said that the official Facebook account of Gen. Dizon had been hacked for the second time around.
Maj. Ines also cautioned Dizon’s 22,000 FB followers to ignore any posts they may see using the said account, especially if they have nothing to do with the MPD’s day-to-day activities.
Too, Maj. Ines shared that the first hacking was traced to be the doing of some Indian nationals.
During the first incident, there was an attempt to inject lewd photos. It was then during the second try when they were able to post vulgar videos.
The same FB account was created as a platform to inform the public what the MPD is doing everyday. It is also where requests for help and complaints can be coursed through.
PBGen. Dizon, known for his kindness among his peers, said he is leaving up to the Lord those who were behind in this hacking incident, saying he has no idea who actually did it and why.
The hackers victimizing the MPD chief’s FB must be traced and punished accordingly. Hindi na nga kayo nakakatulong, perwisyo pa kayo!
The hacking also came as the MPD celebrated its 122nd founding anniversary on February 21.
Among those in attendance were Mayor Honey Lacuna, Vice Mayor Yul Servo-Nieto, Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin, Jr. and MPD Director PBGen. Andre Dizon of course.
Lacuna said in an interview how proud she is of the MPD, commending its leadership under PBGen. Dizon, as well as the men and women behind the force, saying it is because of them that Manilans get to sleep soundly at night.
The mayor also reiterated her earlier pronouncements that Manila has no room for illegal activities, specially drugs that lure youngsters and destroy lives and families as she lauded Dizon and his men for the successful, orderly and peaceful holding of recent major events in the city that include the Christmas and New Year’s Day, activities related to the Feast of the Black Nazarene and the Feast of the Sto. Nino simultaneously held in Tondo and Pandacan.
Lacuna assured the MPD members that the city government of Manila will support them in whatever way possible and thanked them for keeping the streets of the nation’s capital safe at all times.
To MPD Chief Dizon and to the men and women behind the MPD, I take off my hat to you, too!!!
