INIHAYAG ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) na sa Quezon City gaganapin ang Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
Idinagdag ng MMDA na magsisimula ang parada ng mga kalahok sa Welcome Rotonda-Quezon Avenue patungong Quezon Memorial Circle ganap na alas-2 ng hapon sa Disyembre 21.
Ayon pa sa MMDA, magtitipon-tipon ang walong entries ng MMFF at MMDA sa kahabaan ng
E. Rodriguez to D. Tuazon.
Samantala, inihayag ng Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) P500,000 para sa promosyon ng mga kalahok ng sa pamamagitan ng CreatePHFilms.
Pumirma rin ang MMFF ng memorandum of agreement sa online bingo game platform na BingoPlus, bilang presenter ng film festival.
“This year’s festival promises an exciting selection of films for all moviegoers. It offers a wide variety of genres that will complete the tradition of Filipinos going to the cinemas during the holiday season,” sabi ni MMDA at MMFF Over-all Chairman Atty. Romando Artes.
Kabilang sa opisyal na walong kalahok sa MMFF ang “Deleter” ng Viva Communications, Inc.; “Family Matters” ng Cineko Productions, Inc.; “Mamasapano: Now It Can Be Told” ng Borracho Film Production; “My Father, Myself” ng 3:16 Media Network at Mentorque Productions; “Nanahimik ang Gabi” ng Rein Entertainment Productions; “Partners in Crime” ng ABS-CBN Film Productions; “Labyu with an Accent” ng ABS-CBN Film Productions at “My Teacher” by TEN17P.
Ipalalabas ang mga kalahok sa 48th MMFF sa buong bansa mula Disyembre 25, 2022 hanggang Enero 7, 2023.
Isasagawa naman ang Gabi ng Parangal sa Disyembre 27 sa New Frontier Theater sa Cubao, Quezon City.
