INIHAYAG ng Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) na magpapatupad ito ng bawas sa singil sa kuryente ngayong Hulyo na aabot sa 71 sentimo kada kilowatt-hour (kWh) o P9.75 kada kWh mula sa P10.46 kada kWh.
Nangangahulugan ito ng P141 bawas sa kabuuang bill sa mga kumukunsumo ng 200 kWh at P355 bawas sa mga kumukunsumo ng 500 kWh.
“As a highly regulated entity, Meralco’s rates undergo a review and confirmation process to make sure they are fair and reasonable. The immediate implementation of the ERC Decision was able to more than offset the impact of higher generation charge this month to the benefit of our customers,” sabi ni Meralco Head of Regulatory Management Atty. Jose Ronald V. Valles.
