NAKIKIUSAP ang Department of Education (DepEd) na huwag haluan ng politika ang mga gaganaping graduation at recognition rites sa pagtatapos ng school year.
“Schools shall ensure that no election-related paraphernalia, such as streamers, posters, stickers, or other election-related items are distributed or displayed within the school premises or online,” ayon kay DepEd Assistant Secretary Alma Torio.
Para matiyak na ang End-of-School-Year rites ay malaya mula sa pulitika, hiniling sa mga eskwelahan na tiyakin na ang mga guest speaker ay tutuon lamang sa temang “K to 12 Graduates: Pursuing Dreams and Fostering Resilience in the Face of Adversity” sa kanilang mga talumpati.
Nauna nang sinabi ni Torio na maaaring magsagawa ng face-to-face graduation rites ang mga lugar na nasa ilalim ng Alert level 1 at 2.
Paalala niya, dapat sundin ng mga eskwelahan ang health at safety protocol sa pagsasagawa ng rites.
Samantala, sinabi ng DepEd na hindi maaaring manghingi ng bayad ang mga guro para sa nasabing rites.
“No DepEd official or personnel shall be allowed to collect any kind of contribution or graduation fee, moving up/completion ceremony or recognition rites.”
