AT least 106 individuals were injured by firecrackers in Manila as of Thursday, January 1, according to data released by the Manila Public Information Office (PIO).
The figures were consolidated from seven LGU-run district hospitals in the city under the supervision of the Manila Health Department.
Of the total cases, 99 were classified as mild while seven were considered severe, the Manila PIO said.
The Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center recorded the highest number of cases with 37 patients, including 35 mild injuries and two severe cases.
This was followed by Ospital ng Sampaloc, which logged 26 cases—25 mild and one severe—and Sta. Ana Hospital, which reported 21 cases, including 20 mild and one severe.
