PINAIIMBESTIGAHAN na ni National Police chief General Rodolfo Azurin ang tatlong pulis na inaresto dahil sa pangingikil.
Inatasan na ni Azurin ang PNP Internal Service Affairs na imbestigahan ang tatlong pulis na nakatalaga sa Station 5 ng Manila Police District na inaresto sa isang entrapment operation nitong Lunes.
“As a matter of standard procedure, I am directing our IAS to probe the alleged extortion involving our personnel. We don’t tolerate rogue cops in our organization, so we will let them answer the allegation,” ayon kay Azurin.
Ang tatlong pulis na posibleng masibak sa serbisyo ay sina PSSg Erwin Licuasen, Pat Leopoldo Tuazon at PCpl Chimber Importa.
Inireklamo ang tatlo matapos manghingi umano ng pera kapalit sa pag-release ng na-impound na tricycle na nahuli dahil sa paglabag sa trapiko.
