INATASAN ng Department of the Interior and Local Government ang Philippine National Police na sitahin ang mga hindi nagsusuot ng face shield sa lansangan.Ayon kay, DILG spokesperson Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya, nasa 32 porsyento lamang ng mga Pilipino ang nagsusuot ng face shield.
“According to the medical experts, the combined population effectiveness of both the face masks and face shields is only at 26% instead of 80% if use was more prevalent,” ani Malaya sa kalatas.
“Therefore, we have to increase the use of face shields to get the maximum protection at this time of the surge,” dagdag niya. Mula August 20, 2020 hanggang Marso 20, ngayong taon ay umabot na sa mahigit 1.5 milyon ang nasita sa paglabag sa minimum health protocols.
Sa bilang, nasa 671,104 o 44.6 porsyento ang nahuling walang suot na face mask at face shield.
