ITINANGGI ng Office of the Vice President na may kinalaman si Vice President Sara Duterte sa pagpapasara ng bahagi ng Commonwealth Ave. sa Quezon City kamakailan na nagresulta sa pagkakabuhol-buhol ng trapiko.
Sa kalatas, iginiit din ng OVP na nasa Butuan City si Duterte nang maganap ang pangyayari.
“Vice President Sara Duterte was not involved in the traffic disruption caused by the closure of a portion of Quezon City Police Office. The Vice President is in Mindanao for the World Teacher’s Day and other activities,” ayon sa OVP.
Dagdag ng tanggapan, hindi gagawin ng VP na mang-abala ng publiko.
“The Vice President did not ask QCPD and will never ask government agencies, including law enforcement bodies, to carry out actions that would inconvenience the public or cause them harm. The Vice President will always put the interest and welfare of the public over her own personal interest and privileges,” sabi pa ng OVP.
“The viral video is spreading injurious information that is grounded in falsity.”
‘Misleading, outright false’
Ganito rin ang sinabi ni Duterte sa kanyang inilabas na statement.
“I want to emphasize that neither I nor my office ever made any request for assistance from the QCPD to orchestrate such an action. The claims in the video are not only misleading but also outright false. I strongly condemn any actions that disrupt the daily lives and well-being of our fellow citizens,” giit niya.
Pinadalhan din niya ng liham si QCPD Director Redrico Maranan “to investigate this incident and hold those responsible accountable for their actions.”
Agad namang humingi ng paumanhin ang QCPD kay Duterte at klinaro na nagkaroon lamang ng kalituhan at “lapse of judgement” sa mga pulis na nagmamando ng trapiko.
“It appears that our policeman overreacted when he stopped the traffic for a few minutes, because of misleading information he overheard,” ayon sa QCPD.
Parak namali ng dinig, sibak
Inihayag naman ni Lt. Col. May Genio, QCPD Station 14 commander na mali ang dinig ng pulis sa video na inakalang si “VP” ang dadaan kaya nagdesisyon ang huli na isara ang kalsada bilang “sign of courtesy and security, where in fact, based on records, VP Sara Duterte has no engagement in that particular area.”
“Ako po ay humihingi ng paumanhin sa aking maling nagawa. Patawarin nyo po ako. Akala ko po talaga may dadaan na VIP,” ayon naman sa pulis na nasa viral video.
Ipinag-utos na ni Genio ang pagsibak sa nasabing pulis.
“I have ordered the relief of my policeman and put him under investigation to determine administrative liability for his actions. We assure the public that this incident will not happen again,” ayon sa opisyal.
