UNKABOGABLE Star Vice Ganda has reacted to growing public calls for them to run in the 2028 elections.
On the latest episode of It’s Showtime on Friday, January 23, co-host Anne jokingly said she would vote for Vice if they decided to run.
“Alam mo, dapat tumakbo ka kaya. Iboboto kita,” Anne said.
Vice responded with a laugh, saying, “Alam mo, tama na. Kasi bata pa lang ako, takbo na ako nang takbo sa Sta. Ana hanggang pagtanda ko ba naman.”
Adding humor to the discussion, Vice added, “Hoy, itigil n’yo na nga ‘yang mga takbo-takbo na ‘yan. Bina-bash tuloy ako ng wala akong ginagawa. I’m a beauty queen. I’m not a politician.”
The calls for Vice’s candidacy resurfaced recently, with supporters highlighting their relatability and clean image compared to traditional politicians.

Award-winning director Lav Diaz also voiced support for Vice’s potential candidacy on the podcast Ang Walang Kwentang Podcast in September 2025.
