BUMABA sa 5 porsyento ang unemployment rate ng bansa nitong nakaraang Setyembre, ayon sa Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
Ito ay mas mababa sa 5.3 porsyento na naitala noong Agosto, 2022. Nangangahulugan ito na umabot sa 2.5 milyong Pinoy ang walang trabaho noong Setyembre.
“This translates to 2.50 million unemployed Filipinos out of 50.08 million Filipinos who were in the labor force in September 2022. The unemployment rate in September 2021 was higher at 8.9 percent,” sabi ng PSA.
Idinagdag ng PSA na sa kabuuan, umabot sa 47.58 milyong Pinoy ang may trabaho noong Setyembre.
Ayon pa sa PSA, tumaas naman ang underemployed na Pinoy matapos makapagtala ng 15.4 porsiyento kumpara sa 14.7 porsiyento noong Agosto 2022.
“Underemployed persons or those employed who expressed the desire to have additional hours of work in their current job or to have an additional job or to have a new job with longer hours of work was recorded at 7.33 million out of the 47.58 million employed Filipinos in September 2022,” dagdag ng PSA.
