Temporary toll relief starts March 24 at NLEX northbound

NORTH Luzon Expressway (NLEx) Corporation will implement temporary toll relief along the northbound section of the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) from Balintawak to Meycauayan starting Monday noon.

In a statement on Sunday, NLEx announced that the toll relief will remain in effect until all four lanes at the Marilao northbound section are fully reopened.

The measure comes after a severe accident damaged the Marilao Bridge, when an 18-wheeler tanker exceeding the 4.27-meter height limit struck the structure, causing major traffic disruptions.

“Traffic flow changes have been implemented to facilitate ongoing repairs and ensure the safety of motorists,” NLEx said.

The temporary toll relief is in response to Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon’s call to waive toll fees during the repair period.

“We ask for the motoring public’s patience and understanding as we fast-track repairs and work to restore normal traffic flow as soon as possible,” NLEx added.
