MAGMAMAHAL ang singil sa kuryente ngayong buwan ng halos P5 sa mga tahanan na kumukonsumo ng 200 kilowatt per hour kada buwan.
Ayon sa Meralco, may dagdag na 2.29 sentimo kada kWh ang bill dahil sa pagsipa ang transmission charge.
Tumaas ng 39.76 sentimo kada kWh ang transmission charge dahil nagtriple ang halaga ng ancillary charges, dagdag nito.
Bahagya namang bumaba ang generation charge ng 39.18 sentimo kada kWh kaya “maliit” ang itinaas sa kabuuang singil sa kuryente.
“Our earlier projection of a lower generation charge would have resulted in lower overall rates. However, the steep upward adjustment in the transmission charge effectively wiped out the reduction in generation charges causing a slight uptick in overall rates,” ani Meralco vice president at corporate communications head Joe Zaldarriaga.
