San Miguel hailed among world’s top companies for women

SAN Miguel Corp. (SMC) has been recognized as one of the World’s Top Companies for Women, ranking 83rd globally and emerging as the highest-ranked Philippine company on the list, Forbes magazine announced. 

Only three Filipino firms made it to this year’s ranking.

“First, Forbes named us one of the World’s Best Employers. Now, I am happy to share they have also recognized San Miguel as one of the World’s Top Companies for Women,” said SMC president Ramon S. Ang. 

“We don’t have a complicated formula. We just treat each other like family. We work hard, we help others, and we do it together. This recognition is for our entire team, especially the incredible women who lead, create, and inspire at every level of this company. Maraming salamat sa inyo,” he added.

SMC, which employs over 56,600 people across industries including food and beverages, packaging, energy, fuel and oil, and infrastructure, made a strong showing in Forbes’ World’s Best Employers list, climbing to 42nd worldwide from last year’s 89th spot.

Other Filipino firms in the list include Ayala Corp. ranked 139th globally, Metrobank 154th, Land Bank 187th, LT Group Inc. 421st, Century Pacific Group 453rd, Jollibee Foods Corp. 455th, BDO Unibank 585th, and Cebu Pacific 770th.

Globally, Microsoft topped the Forbes ranking, followed by Delta Air Lines, Alphabet, Adobe, BMW Group, NVIDIA, Sony, IBM, Apple, and Lego Group in the top 10. Forbes partnered with Statista to survey more than 300,000 employees across 50 countries, rating employers on salary, career growth, work-life balance, and company reputation.
