MULING nanawagan si Senador Grace Poe sa mabilisang pagresolba sa nangyayaring rotational brownout sa Western Visayas.
Ito ay matapos muling mag-anunsyo ang National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) nitong nakaraang araw hinggil sa nakatakdang rotational brownout sa maraming lugar sa rehiyon.
Ayon kay Poe, dapat kumilos ang NGCP, mga power firms at mga concerned government agencies na tukuyin at tugunin ang problema sa power outage na nagreresulta sa bilyong pisong pagkalugi ng mga negosyo sa rehiyon.
“Hindi dapat maging normal ang mga blackout na ito. The rotational blackout in parts of Western Visayas must be addressed before darkness engulfs the region anew. It’s imperative for the NGCP, private firms and other concerned agencies to work double time to stem the problem, whether on the supply, generation or transmission side, to avert a repeat of the recent power outage,” ayon kay Poe sa isang kalatas.
Ayon pa sa senador malaking pasakit at hirap ang dadanasin ng bawat tahanan, eskwela, negosyo at government offices kung magpapatuloy ang power outage.
“The rolling blackouts must not be the way of life for our people,” anya pa.
Nitong Miyerkules, nag-anunsyo ang NGCP sa Facebook page nito tungkol sa unscheduled power interruption sa Negros at Panay sub-grid dahil sa “unplanned outage” ng Panay Energy Development Corporation.
Ayon sa NGCP kailangang magpatupad ng manual load dropping “to preserve the integrity of the transmission system.”
