KINASUHAN ng ilang lider ng Simbahan ang drag queen na si Pura Luka Vega kaugnay sa kanya umanong paglapastangan sa imahe ni Hesus at sa kantang “Ama Namin.”
Ayon sa mga opisyal ng Philippines for Jesus Movement na sina Bishop Leo Alconga, Pastor Romie Suela, at Pastor Mars Rodriguez nilabag ni Vega ang Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code, na nagpapataw ng parusa sa “those who, in theaters, fairs, cinematographs or any other place, shall exhibit indecent or immoral plays, scenes, acts or shows and offend any race or religion.”
Inasunto rin ni Alconga, pangulo ng PJM, si Vega ng paglabag sa Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.
Ayon sa grupo, ang ginawa ni Vega “is not only terribly blasphemous, offensive, disrespectful, insulting, unacceptable, and outrageous to the Christian religion and belief, it also causes a devalued and negative image of the Lord Jesus Christ, which Christians hold in the highest veneration.”
Nag-ugat ang kaso sa performance ni Vega sa bar kung saan nagsayaw at nag-lip synch siya sa saliw ng rock version ng “Ama Namin.” Ipinost mismo ni Vega ang video ng performance niya sa X (dating Twitter) na may caption na “Thank you for coming to church!”
