NANGANGALAP ng donasyon ang drag performer na si Pura Luka Vega para gamitin sa mga kinahaharap niyang kaso kaugnay sa pambabastos sa “Ama Namin” at sa Poong Nazareno.
Sa Instagram account ng kanyang podcast na @officiallylukaluka, ipinost ni Luka ang kanyang GCash QR code kung saan ipadadala ang donasyon.
“WE’RE GOING TO COURT And we need your help more than ever,” aniya.
“Your donations will go to Luka’s family and transpo/food for their court dates this September,” dagdag niya.
Kabilang sa mga kasong isinampa laban kay Luka ay ang paglabag sa Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2021 at Article 201 ng Revised Penal Code, na nagpapataw ng parusa sa mga indibidwal “who, in theaters, fairs, cinematographs or any other place…exhibit indecent or immoral plays, scenes, acts or shows and offend any race or religion.”
Ilan sa mga nagreklamo sa drag performer ay ang Hijos Del Nazareno (HDN) Central at mga opisyal ng Philippines for Jesus Movement (PJM) na sina Bishop Leo Alconga, Pastor Romie Suela, at Pastor Mars Rodriguez.
Ayon sa PJM, ang ginawa ni Vega “is not only terribly blasphemous, offensive, disrespectful, insulting, unacceptable, and outrageous to the Christian religion and belief, it also causes a devalued and negative image of the Lord Jesus Christ, which Christians hold in the highest veneration.”
Nag-ugat ang mga kaso sa performance ni Luka sa isang bar kung saan nagsayaw at nag-lip synch siya sa saliw ng rock version ng “Ama Namin” habang nakabihis ng Nazareno.
Ipinost mismo ni Vega ang video ng performance niya sa X (dating Twitter) at nilagyan niya ng caption na “Thank you for coming to church!”
