HALOS umabot na sa P3 bilyon ang kabuuang pinsala na idinulot ng bagyong Karding sa agrikultura sa maraming lugar sa Luzon at sa Western Visayas.
Sa ulat ng ngayon ng Department of Agriculture, naitala ang P2.95 bilyong pinsala sa Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region and Western Visayas. Ilan sa mga ito ay binubuo ng 154,734 metriko toneladang pananim sa may 164, 217 ektarya ng sakahan.
Umabot naman sa 103,552 magsasaka at mangingisda ang naapektuhan ng super typhoon.
“Damage and losses in rice amounted to P 2.02 billion with affected area at 159,251 hectares and volume of production loss at 133,294 metric tons that represents 0.66 percent of the annual total production target volume for rice, which is 20.25 million metric tons. While for corn, damage and losses amounted to P 65.4 million with affected area at 2,002 hectares and volume of production loss at 2,634 metric tons that represents 0.05 percent of the annual total production target volume for corn, which is 5.11 million metric tons,” sabi ng DA.
