‘Pinapatawad na kita’: Former classmate recalls high school catfight with Marian Rivera

A WOMAN claiming to be Marian Rivera’s former classmate has gone viral after recalling their dramatic high school encounter, complete with hair-pulling and spilled softdrinks.

In a Facebook post, Ivy Manzon-Bo said she just wanted to “spill the tea” after watching Marian’s recent interview where the actress joked about her past fights involving husband Dingdong Dantes.

“Eto na, spill the tea ko na. Ma-share ko lang. Circa 1998 pa ’to. Away-bata kumbaga. Hindi ito para pagmulan pa ng away,” Ivy wrote.

According to her, it happened during their second year in high school at SFACS Bayanan.

Marian allegedly confronted her over a rumor, leading to a classic catfight.

“Yung binuhusan ako ng softdrinks at sinabunutan ako nung high school dahil sa maling balitang nakarating sa kanya,” she said. “Ending, we both ended up sa guidance at nasuspend sa class for a week. Naglinis ng canteen as parusa at natanggal sa varsity.”

Despite what happened, Ivy said she now forgives Marian.

“Pinapatawad na kita, Marian Rivera Gracia. Hahahaha. Ang dahilan kasi, mahilig siyang maniwala sa chismax,” she wrote.

Ivy said they were actually friends before the incident.

“She is a good friend way back. Seatmates pa nga kami eh, since magkasunod ang surname namin. Kasama sa dance group, kasama sa varsity. Then may isang marites na classmate ang siniraan ako sa kanya, at ayun, si ate mo girl naniwala naman.”

She added that they crossed paths again in college at De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, where things flared up briefly once more.

“Naulit ulit college sa DLSUD nang sumugod sa classroom. At nung nagkasalubong sa building, sabi ko na lang, ‘High school pa lang issue na ’yan, hanggang ngayon issue mo pa din?’ Nakakaloka!”

Still, she said there’s no bad blood anymore. Their last encounter was at GMA’s SOP days when she was working with 6Cycle Mind and Callalily, and Marian was already rising as Marimar.

“Pero ok naman na kami. Last kaming nagkita sa GMA, nung kasama ko ang 6Cycle Mind and Calla Lily sa SOP. Parang Marimar days niya.”

She ended her post by reminding people that everyone changes and to take the story for what it is.

“People change. Lahat naman nagbabago habang tumatanda. Let’s not be quick to judge kasi gusto n’yoo lang din ng marites. Ayan, shinare ko na experience ko. Pero last na nagkita kami, tinawanan na lang etong alaalang ’to. Napasaya ko ba kayo? Hahahaha.”
