THE Philippine government signed nine agreements with Qatar that further boosted the trade and investment alliance between the two nations.
Also, the two countries vowed to address jointly global concerns including human trafficking and climate change.
According to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), the signing happened following the bilateral meeting between President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani Monday.
Among the agreements signed include those related to the waiver of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, special, or official passports, cooperation in the fields of sports, youth, and combating human trafficking.
The two countries also agreed on technical cooperation and capacity-building on climate change, tourism and business events, and mutual recognition of seafarers’ certificates. (GP)
