THE Philippine General Hospital (PGH) announced that its emergency room (ER) has exceeded capacity and has run out of available oxygen ports.
PGH spokesperson and Coordinator for Public Affairs Dr. Jonas del Rosario said on Thursday, March 27, that the ER will temporarily stop accepting new patients due to the overwhelming number of admissions.
Currently, more than 180 patients are confined in the ER, even though it is designed to accommodate only 75 beds.
