PBBM Christmas wish: more family time

PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. said his Christmas wish this year is simple: the passage of a good national budget and more time with his family.

Speaking on the sixth episode of his BBM Podcast released Thursday, the President said he hopes legislators will hand the administration a budget that will support the government’s priorities.

“I don’t know how specific you want to get, but for Christmas, [my wish is] that the legislature will provide us a good budget,” he said.

Marcos added that the holidays would be “a very nice Christmas” if he could spend more time with his family, something he has struggled with since becoming president.

“Intangible, more time with my family. You know, in this job you cannot hang, you cannot chill. There’s no… wala na ‘yun,” he said.

The President admitted missing the simplicity of his life before assuming office but emphasized that leading the country remains “a privilege.”

“I’m happy to be here because you’re given again the privilege to help, to do something, to help people’s lives. That’s the biggest privilege that anyone can give you,” he said. “If you’re in public service… that’s golden.”
