BINAKBAKAN ng Malacanang si dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ngayong Linggo matapos sabihan ng dating presidente si Pangulong Bongbong Marcos na “patungo na ito sa diktadurya.”
Tinawag na “hoax” at “one-man fake news factory” ni Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin si Duterte at sabihin na walang basehan at katawa-tawa ang naging pahayag ng dating pangulo.
“This hoax is another budol, emerging from a one-man fake-news factory,” pahayag ni Bersamin.
“We treat the former president’s baseless and ridiculous statements in the same way that Filipinos are dismissive of them: A tall tale from a man prone to lying and to inventing hoaxes,” dagdag pa nito.
Iginiit nito na patuloy ng patiyak ng administrasyong Marcos na nakabase ang mga kilos nito sa Konstitusyon at nakasunod sa batas para proteksyunan ang karapatan ng publiko.
“We will not backslide into the oppressive ways of the previous administration, when critics were jailed upon trumped-up charges and when kill orders were publicly issued with glee and obeyed blindly,” dagdag nito.
