CLOSE to 14,000 candidates, political parties, and party-list organizations have submitted applications to register their online campaign platforms for the May 2025 midterm elections, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced Saturday.
“The total number of registration forms received online via Google Forms is 13,723,” the Comelec said in a statement.
Of the total applications, 13,416 were filed by local candidates, while 70 came from individuals vying for senatorial positions. Meanwhile, 237 applications were submitted by party-list organizations, political parties, and coalitions.
Comelec spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco noted that all applications would undergo a thorough review to ensure compliance with election regulations.
