SINABI ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos na nakamonitor siya sa kaganapan matapos namang yanigin ng magnitude 6.4 na lindol ang Abra at iba pang lugar sa bansa.
“But we’re monitoring. We do not have a critical problem when it comes to food and shelter. That is the most important part of the relief that we have to provide now for the people affected by the earthquake last night,” sabi ni Marcos.
Idinagdag ni Marcos na nakuha niya ang huling mga ulat kaugnay ng lindol kagabi nang hatinggabi.
“So, the schools have closed for the day hangga’t matiyak na lahat ng mga school building ay safe para sa mga bata. So that was the first concern. The other concern right now is to make sure that power has come back. ‘Yung Ilocos Norte, the power has come back. Ilocos Sur, the power has come back. I’m waiting for the report from Abra. I think parts, the last I heard, the last parts of Abra province have already have power restored,” ayon pa kay Marcos.
Aniya, karamihan ng mga hinihingi ay mga tent dahil takot pa ring bumalik ang mga residente.
“Natakot silang bumalik sa bahay nila baka mag-aftershock tapos mahina ‘yung bahay, baka masaktan sila,” sabi ni Marcos.
