A magnitude 4.6 earthquake struck General Nakar, Quezon on Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
The tremor occurred at 12:17 p.m., with its epicenter located 24 kilometers northwest of General Nakar. Phivolcs said the quake was tectonic in origin, with a shallow depth of 6 kilometers.
The earthquake was initially reported by Phivolcs as having a magnitude of 5.1, but it was later revised to 4.6 after further analysis.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries as of this writing. Authorities are continuing to monitor the area for any aftershocks.

Intensity IV was felt in Makati, Manila, Marikina, San Pedro in Laguna, and Tanay, Rizal.
Intensity III was recorded in Navotas, Quezon City, Pasay City, San Juan, Taguig, Guiguinto and Malolos City in Bulacan, Palayan in Nueva Ecija, Mabalacat and city of Angeles in Pampanga, and Binan in Laguna.
While Intensity II was noted in Caloocan City, Mandaluyong, Paranaque, Valenzuela, Obando in Bulacan, Cabiao in Nueva Ecija.
