Kris Aquino slams fake death post: ‘Stop playing with my life’

TV host and actress Kris Aquino took to Instagram to denounce a viral post falsely claiming that she had died after collapsing at a family gathering.

In her post on Friday, October 17, Aquino said the circulating image showing her “fighting for her life” was actually taken Wednesday night while she was reading a James Patterson novel on her iPad.

“Friends have been sharing with me probably the 80th bad-taste ‘wishing Kris dead’ post… You are a liar!” she wrote, addressing the person who spread the rumor.

Aquino explained that while she continues to undergo Rituxan infusions as part of her treatment for multiple autoimmune diseases, she remains under strict medical supervision and is currently in isolation due to her weakened immunity.

“I’ve seen my Cojuangco cousins individually, but because my immunity is very low, I’m in isolation—with Kuya and Bimb’s company only after they’ve tested negative for COVID, RSV, adeno, MP, and flu,” she said.

The Queen of All Media clarified that she was not complaining about her isolation, saying it allowed her to enjoy her favorite books. She also reminded the public of the serious health risks associated with Rituxan, a drug used to manage her condition.

Aquino ended her post by warning those spreading false information: “To the a**hole playing with my life — stop.”
