COMEDIENNE Kiray Celis jokingly reminded her “Ninong” Vice Ganda not to wear a gown at her upcoming church wedding with fiancé Stephan Estopia.
“‘Ma, hindi ka puwedeng mag-gown ha? Baka hindi kami ikasal ni Father,’” Kiray told Vice, explaining that their wedding will be held in a Catholic church.
“Baka po (bawal) kasi Catholic, e. Just to make sure, kasi si Mama (Vice) nagsu-suit naman tapos half-gown sa ibaba,” she added.
Kiray earlier revealed that her godparents include Vice Ganda, Maricel Soriano, Sharon Cuneta, and celebrity couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera.
When asked about their honeymoon destination, Kiray casually replied, “Amanpulo.”
“Regalo. Makakapunta ba ako do’n?” she said when told how expensive it was.
The couple is targeting a P500,000 budget for their wedding, but with generous sponsors like Vice and other celebrity ninongs and ninangs, many expenses have already been covered, including their luxury honeymoon.
“Hindi ko pa alam kung ano ang ibibigay nila (ninong/ninang) nakakahiya naman, alangan i-advance na nila o ito po bank account ko,” Kiray added.
