Interop program now open for individual motorists

MOTORISTS can now join the government’s new interoperability (interop) program, which allows one sticker and one account to be used in expressways run by different toll operators.

For now, the program is open only to individual accounts, which make up 98 percent of all users. Group or corporate accounts will be included by early 2026.

Joining the program is optional. Those who are happy with their current toll setup don’t need to enroll. However, enrollment is not automatic as motorists must register online or visit customer service centers for help.

Motorists with a negative balance cannot enroll until their dues are paid. Any remaining balance can be transferred between Autosweep and Easytrip accounts or refunded. Processing of balance transfers takes around three days.

Once enrolled, drivers must keep only one active sticker and one account. Those with damaged or faulty stickers can have them replaced for free to avoid problems at toll booths.

For questions or assistance, motorists are advised to contact the customer service office of their toll provider.
