SINIBAK sa pwesto ang hepe ng Navotas Police na si Col. Allan Umipig at ngayon ay nahaharap sa kasong administratibo kaugnay sa pagkamatay ng 17-anyos na si Jemboy Baltazar.
Iniutos ni National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief, Maj. General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., ang pagsibak kay Umipig base na rin sa rekomendasyon ng PNP-Internal Affairs Service (PNP-IAS).
Sa rekomendasyon ng IAS, dapat kasuhan ng admnistratibo si Umipig base sa prinsipyo ng command responsibility. Kasam sa kakasuhan ng administratibo ang 11 iba pang pulis dahil sa lapses sa isinagawang operasyon noong Agosto na ikinamatay ni Baltazar.
Sa paunang report, anim na pulis ang itinuturong sangkot sa pagmakatay ng teenager na ngayon ay nasa ilalim sa summary dismissal proceedings.
“Upon further investigation of the Internal Affairs Service, it has been discovered that the Navotas Chief of Police instructed the team leader of the operatives to exclude from their reports 11 police officers who were also involved in the fatal shooting of the 17-year-old Jerhode Jemboy Baltazar,” ayon sa press statement ng IAS.
Nabaril at napatay si Baltazar ng mga pulis Navotas matapos itong mapagkamalang suspek na tumatakas sa isinagawang operasyon sa Barangay North Bay Boulevard, South Kaunlaran sa Navotas.
