A huge part of the country will continue to experience rain showers due to the southwest monsoon or habagat, the weather bureau said Friday.
Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will prevail over Metro Manila, the Ilocos and Cordillera regions, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi.
Moderate to heavy rains in those areas are likely to result in flash floods or landslides, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
The rest of the country will continue to experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will continue to prevail across the archipelago, PAGASA said. (PNA)
