FORMER president Rodrigo Duterte was reportedly moved to tears after seeing photos and videos of his youngest daughter, Veronica “Kitty” Duterte, visiting young cancer patients at the House of Hope in Davao City.
Content creator Chito Samontina shared that Duterte sent an emotional message to Kitty after learning about the visit.
“I showed him all the pictures and the video from House of Hope, and he got extremely emotional,” Kitty said. “He told us how he built that facility for children with cancer, and then we all got emotional too.”
Duterte also expressed pride in his daughter, saying she is growing into “a real woman” who reflects his strength and values.
“He couldn’t be prouder. He was so impressed by your photos,” Samontina added, quoting the former president’s message.
Kitty and Samontina recently visited the House of Hope, a temporary shelter for children battling cancer, and donated P100,000 to support its operations. The visit was featured in an episode of CHITChat, Samontina’s online talk show.
Duterte, who served as Davao City mayor for over two decades before becoming president, helped establish the House of Hope during his term in local government.
