NAGBABALA na ang weather bureau na posibleng pumasok ang La Niña sa pagitan ng Hunyo at Hulyo.
Ayon sa Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and. Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) nitong Huwebes, nasa 55 porsiyento na ang posibilidad na madevelop ang La Niña sa susunod na anim na buwan.
“Pre-developing La Niña historically, is characterized by below-normal rainfall, therefore, the possibility of a slight delay on the onset of rainy season is likely with the combined effects of the ongoing El Niño,” ayon sa PAGASA.
Sa kabila nito, sinabi ni PAGASA Climate Monitoring and Prediction chief Ana Liza Solis, higit na dapat mag-focus ang publiko sa kung paano sosolusyunan ang impact ng kasalukuyang dinadanas na El Niño.
“Historically, below-normal rainfall is observed during pre-developing La Niña. We are not going to tackle yet the possible effects of La Niña since it is too far from now, and is still uncertain,” dagdag pa nito.
Patuloy na mararanasan ang impact ng El Niño sa pagitan ngayon buwan hanggang Mayo.
