Dagdag parusa na naman sa motorista: NLEx toll hike to take effect on March 2

MOTORISTS using the North Luzon Expressway (NLEx) will face higher toll fees starting Sunday, March 2, following the approval from the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB).

According to the TRB, the toll adjustments will be as follows:

Motorists traveling the full NLEx stretch, from Metro Manila to Sta. Ines, Mabalacat City, will see an increase of P57 for Class 1, P142 for Class 2, and P171 for Class 3.

The TRB stated that the adjustments underwent a thorough review and were approved only after NLEx Corp. met all regulatory requirements under the 2013 TRB Revised Rules of Procedure.

The hike is part of NLEx Corp.’s investment recovery plan for the newly completed Candaba 3rd Viaduct and represents the first tranche (50%) of the approved 2022 toll rate adjustments.

According to TRB Spokesperson Julius Corpuz, the second tranche may be implemented in 2026.
