GOVERNMENT workers can look forward to an early holiday reward as the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) begins releasing the 2025 year-end bonus and P5,000 cash gift this November, Malacañang announced Tuesday.
Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said the initiative demonstrates the Marcos administration’s continued recognition of the dedication and heroism of public servants.
“This move by the DBM shows the Marcos administration’s deep appreciation for our government workers and their service to the nation,” Castro said during a Palace briefing.
Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, in a separate statement, confirmed that the bonuses would be released “with the first agency payroll of November 2025,” following Budget Circular No. 2024-3.
She added that the DBM ensures timely distribution of benefits as a way of honoring the hard work and excellence of public employees.
For 2025, the DBM has allocated P63.69 billion for the year-end bonus and P9.24 billion for the cash gift, benefitting over 1.85 million government personnel nationwide.
The year-end bonus is equivalent to one month’s basic salary as of October 31. To qualify, employees must have rendered at least four months of service since January 1 and still be in service by October 31.
Pangandaman reminded agencies to process and release the benefits promptly, ensuring government employees receive their well-deserved incentive ahead of the Christmas season.
