DASMARIÑAS City Rep. Francisco “Kiko” Barzaga went to the wrong venue for an anti-Marcos rally he had been promoting on Sunday night.
In a Facebook post, Barzaga said he mistakenly went to Dasmariñas Village instead of Forbes Park. “Dasmariñas Village pala napuntahan ko otw na ko sa Forbes Park waits ka lang SILG Remulla #PeoplePower,” he wrote, referring to Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla.
Barzaga stayed for less than an hour, taking selfies and waving to residents before leaving. He later posted a photo of himself dining at Aristocrat in Manila, saying, “Good job tonight, see you again soon!”
Lawyer Jesus Falcis criticized Barzaga’s misstep, calling it “narcissistic” and detached from reality. He also mocked the irony of Duterte supporters arriving by motorcycle while the congressman came and left in a chauffeured car.
“Good job daw kahit: (1) late siya dumating, (2) mali yung unang pinuntahan niya because akala niya ang Dasmariñas Village entrance sa EDSA ay pareho sa Forbes Park entrance, (3) hindi niya napasok ang Forbes Park kahit yun ang goal niya dahil ang pera daw ng taumbayan ay nasa loob,” Falcis said.
