NINE suspected members of a Metro Manila-based shoplifting ring were arrested in Cebu City on July 9 after one of them was caught stealing P11,000 worth of baby clothes from a boutique inside a mall.
The woman led police to a pension house where eight other suspects were arrested. Authorities recovered more stolen clothing items worth over P100,000.
Police are calling on other malls to check if their stores were also targeted. Most suspects were jobless and traveled from Manila. They now face theft charges while detained at the Mambaling Police Station.
