APAT na construction workers ang nasawi habang dalawa ang nasugatan sa landslide na naganap sa Antipolo City, Rizal noong Miyerkules, ayon sa Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
Sinabi ng BFP, gumuho ang lupa makaraang tanggalin ng mga obrero ang isang pader sa Fairmount Hills Subdivision sa Brgy. Dela Paz.
“The team tirelessly worked hand in hand and managed to rescue 2 people alive and was able to retrieve 4 casualties trapped under the soil and mud,” sinabi ng BFP sa kalatas.
Kinumpirma ng pulisya na pawang mga construction workers, na may edad 32, 33, 37 at 56, ang mga nasawi.
“Investigation disclosed that the victims were clearing the retaining wall’s foundations that had been dug,” ayon sa spot report ng pulisya. “Suddenly, the natural soil collapsed and eroded to the victims,” dagdag nito. Inabot nang dalawang oras ang isinagawang search and retrieval operations.
