About 2.54 million Filipinos were unemployed in October 2025, according to the latest Labor Force Survey released by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) on Wednesday.
The figure is higher than the 1.96 million jobless in September 2025 and the 1.97 million recorded in October 2024.
The unemployment rate stood at 5% of the 51.16 million individuals in the labor force, rising from 3.8% in September 2025 and 3.9% in October 2024, PSA chief Claire Dennis Mapa said.
