“I think it’s wonderful! I always love the different stories that come through the platform of pageantry. Whether it be as a trans community advocate or now in showing that age is just a number,” ani Cat nang tanungin ukol sa pagsali ng isang 69-anyos na ginang sa Miss Universe Philippines-Quezon City. “
“Especially as a woman I feel like age is used to limit us, our potential. There are terms that are always thrown at women like ‘oh your biological clock is tickin’ or ‘time is running out’ or ‘these are your prime years,’ mga ganyan,” dagdag niya.
“Why not? She’s enjoying herself, she’s representing herself, her community. And I think those are great things,” sey niya.
“For me kasi I am a fan of pageantry but I also love what pageantry stands for. It gave me a platform about my cause work that is why I wanted to go there,” paliwanag niya.
